The City Accountant was kicked off in 2005 by a South African living and working in London. Riccardo Fossa’s aim was to deliver an outstanding, easily accessible accounting service for a predominately NZ, Aus, SA client base.

It was baby steps at first – in 2005 the business was run in the evenings and weekends. He managed to keep contracting, while also meeting the demands of a growing client base. The decision to commit to the business full-time was made for him once he realised there was in fact only 24 hours in a day, and during some of that, it was important to get some sleep..... Since that decision in 2006, the business had grown from strength to strength.
